The 2014 PAPER CITY MUSIC FESTIVAL will take place August 29th – 31st, and it is shaping up to be an awesome weekend with an abundance of eclectic music! The festival will host more than 25 artists over the course of three days, ranging from Bluegrass, Americana, Funk and Soul, to Singer/Songwriter, Southern Rock, Salsa, Alternative, and Rock and Roll.

There are many phenomenal acts on the lineup this year, each of whom are doing very exciting things with their music careers. Every year Paper City aims to broaden the scope and diversity of artists that are invited to perform, and this year is looking to be best yet! More artists will be announced at a later date that will be performing on the International Songwriting Competition Stage, which will feature Singer/Songwriters and a handful of additional local artists.
This year will include the first International artists to ever perform at the festival and the Paper City Music team is ecstatic to host the International Songwriting Competition’s 1st Place Folk/Singer-Songwriter Winner, Big Little Lions, from British Columbia, Canada along with El Caribefunk, an exotic fusion of Salsa, Funk, and Caribbean music from Colombia, South America.
Paper City Music is known for hand selecting up-and-coming indie artists, and the 2014 Lineup is no different! Some of the most notable acts to recently pass through Chillicothe have been Shovels & Rope, Magic Man, Caught A Ghost, He’s My Brother She’s My Sister, and Kopecky Family Band – who will be making a return visit to the Majestic Theatre on July 18.
A huge and exciting change for this year is that a new location has been set, and the 2014 Paper City Music Festival will be held at Camp Cattail (322 Cattail Rd, Chillicothe, OH 45601).
CAMP CATTAIL is an outdoor recreation facility that specializes in meeting needs of children who are mentally and/or physically challenged. The Non-Profit Organization operates a day camp for special needs children from Ross and surrounding counties for four weeks during the summer. Camp Cattail is dependent on private donations and grants and is well known for hosting two major fundraisers each year, the Camp Cattail Band Jam and the Chillicothe Enduro Riders Hair Scramble. A portion of ticket sales from Paper City Music Festival will be donated back to the camp along with volunteer services towards repairs and improvements of the campground facilities.
The new location will provide several camping options including rural camping along the woods, urban camping close to vehicle parking, family camping, and self-sufficient RV Parking (No Electric Hookup). The camp also includes hot showers, a 2.2 mile walking path, designated areas for community fires, and county water The layout will include several tents for shade, vendors, food, beverages, and social gathering. This year Anheuser-Busch products will be available for purchase and food will be from none other than Chillicothe’s finest, Old Canal Smoke House.
Paper City Music is dedicated to bringing high quality music to the Ross County and Chillicothe Communities. Proceeds will go directly back to Paper City Project, Inc. – a Non-Profit whose mission is to sponsor events for the public that promote and develop the arts through means of concerts, workshops, and events which enhance the cultural awareness of the arts.
Paper City Music Festival is a family friendly event and children ages 12 and under will be admitted free of charge with an accompanying parent holding a weekend pass. Additionally, mentally and/or physically handicapped persons will be admitted for free on behalf of Paper City Project and Camp Cattail.

Weekend passes are starting at ONLY $40 for all three days, including FREE Camping and FREE Parking! Single day tickets will also be available starting at $20 a day. Prices will increase closer to the festival and the price at the gate will be $60 for the weekend or $30 a day.
